MLB insider and ESPN baseball reporter Jeff Passan’s Twitter page, which boasts over 802,000 followers, was hacked on Thursday by what appears to be an NFT company.

Passan’s account was accessed by hackers who immediately changed his entire bio, profile picture, and cover photo to promote NFTs from a brand called SkullToons.

Passan’s bio also lists brands Azukizen and ThugBirdz, but the account seems to only RT and promote SkullToons.

While NFT has been a controversial part of a booming web3 industry, this isn’t a great look or example of newly formed NFT marketing strategies, such as NFT SEO and social media utilization in the NFT feature space on Twitter.
